Job Summary
This job contributes to company’s success by leading a team of engineering professionals that support the execution of the global strategic plan for Supply Chain & Operations. This job supports the strategic plan through the development and delivery of worldwide, multi-year strategies for manufacturing facilities, capital equipment, and capacity plans for roasting and packaging systems. Position fosters the development of team mangers leading departments in the areas of New Technology Development, Worldwide Capacity and Industrial Engineering. Models and acts in accordance with corporate guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Leadership - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:

Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results

Supports the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote key messages and achieve a competitive advantage
Planning and Execution - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:

Develops annual operating plan and budget, and quarterly forecast updates.

Develops five-year strategic plans and capital and equipment requirements for manufacturing

Maximizes utilization of current capital assets while ensuring availability of additional capital to support needs of the business

Plans and manages business unit/department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives

Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization
Business Requirements - Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:

Integrates external contract and vendor services seamlessly into the department functions with the goal of meeting internal customer needs and expectations

Participates in cross-functional teams to drive business unit/department(s) initiatives and programs

Plans for and supports the introduction of new technologies that improve product quality and overall cost of goods sold

Serves as lead advisor representing Technical Services Business Integration.

Supports the development of quality, cost optimization, and capital investment programs that align with the goals and objectives of the organization and department
Partner Development & Team Building - Providing partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams:

Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results

Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews

Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements

Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions

Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results
Experience
-
10-20 yrs food industry
-
General management (5 years)
-
Strategic plan development and implementation (5 years)
-
Progressive experience managing varied projects involving capital equipment or technical innovation
Education Required
BS in Engineering (CE, ME preferred) |
