SUMMARY
The primary role of this position is to provide leadership for evaluation of wheat and wheat flour performance (includes primary, secondary methods as well as experimental baking) to support the delivery of consistent solutions to our customers. This manager will lead a large analytical team, interact heavily with Quality Management and Technical Services as well as product development. This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to provide leadership and grow in a strong and dynamic and technical business environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure team's compliance with all Food Safety and EH&S policies

Drive employee engagement by providing a structured and consistent approach to Talent Management and individual development

Builds strong relationships with HM Functions to effectively partner to deliver customer solutions, plus trouble shooting support to resolve instrumentation/ quality issues

Proactively leads team to identify and develop analytical tools, processes, resources and solutions that support the business strategies in the regions and countries where business is conducted

Serves as a resource to formula planning in developing formulating customer flour mixes

Fosters an environment that promotes continuous improvement and quality outcomes

Proactively establishes/cultivates a broad network of contacts both within and outside the organization

Allocate organizational resources (e.g., budget, headcount) in alignment with strategic priorities

Oversees management of annual wheat survey process, ensuring adequate resourcing, timely execution, analysis and dissemination of information to key stakeholders

Promote Information Protection awareness among employees and ensures the protection of information as required by company policy.

Actively participates in protection of intellectual assets within the scope of a project. Builds team awareness of legal implications of, and appropriate behavior in, personnel and external interactions.
Required

Bachelors degree in Analytical Chemistry, Baking and Milling Science, Food Science

7 + years of industrial/academic experience

5 + years of managerial experience leading technical teams

Demonstrated effective skills leading technical teams and managing technical projects/programs
