Overview
Senior Product Development Scientist to lead the research, development and commercialization of new food and beverage products. As a project leader or key member of a cross-functional team (Marketing, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Finance) the Senior Professional drives large-scale new product development programs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the development and commercialization of new food and beverage products (plans projects, designs experiments, collects data, and analyzes results)

Identify and exploit new technologies to bring competitive advantage to Company

Identify and implement process improvement, cost savings, and other opportunities related to product development

Participate in evaluating potential suppliers to leverage their expertise

Maintains specifications and documentation on projects under areas of responsibility
Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science is required - a Master's Degree is preferred
Experience Required
-
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of experience developing products and/or reformulating products in a food or beverage company.

Candidates must have experience leading/participating in cross functional team environments. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is expected

Candidates should have excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)

It is also very important that candidates have the ability to plan for contingencies and be flexible when a project direction changes
