Direct Report: Quality Assurance Technician
Responsibilities
-
The Plant Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing all Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance activities at the company manufacturing facility.

Supervises and coordinates activities of plant Quality Technician
-
Monitor product analytical results and provide guidance for specification compliance
-
Develop, document and implement policies and procedures to comply with regulatory standards and customer specifications
-
Assist facility with Quality Assurance programs, such as HACCP and GMP+, to support strategic business plans
-
Conduct facility audits to insure compliance to company and regulatory policies
-
Complete customer sample requests and required questionnaires
-
Manage domestic and international labeling and regulatory requirements
-
Document analytical procedures

Promote new equipment and test methods that will improve operational and business efficiencies

Establish and conduct training programs
-
Address, document and resolve customer complaints
-
Notify plant management of new regulatory standards that could affect the business, provide action plans to update and /or develop new programs, communicate changes and monitor implementation

Participate in problem solving on cross functional teams

Assist Research and Development with new products, process improvements and additional projects
-
Develop suppliers, customers and regulatory agencies’ relationships

Manage Quality Assurance Budget
Education and Experience Required
-
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science related field
-
Minimum 5-7 years Quality Assurance Management experience, preferably in the feed or food industries
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Presentation, analytical and organizational skills
-
Knowledge of computer software applications
-
Experience with handling suppliers, customers, consultants and regulatory agencies
