SUMMARY

Position reports to Corporate Director of Quality; dotted line to Plant Manager

Part of Operations

To ensure that products meet defined specifications and are compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
The effective management of the Quality team at plant location and the development of their skills and competencies in accordance with business needs
-
Implementation, maintenance and development of the Quality Management and Food Safety systems in line with company guidelines
-
Implementation and assurance that suitable protocols are in place so that finished product quality meets all quality (incl. organoleptic), food safety and regulatory, standards
-
Development, revision, and reporting of quality KPI’s, process measures etc. including routine and regular reporting across a range of quality parameters and activities
-
Monitor, review and manage corrective actions to address consumer complaints
-
Contribute positively to local Management leadership team across range of topics, and help drive towards Operations goals

EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum of 5 years in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment at management level
-
Direct working experience of, and with, quality and food safety management systems
-
Experience and application of process measurement and evaluation, including basic statistical knowledge e.g. SPC, lot sampling etc.
-
Experience and knowledge of FDA regulations and specifically application to coffee.
-
Ability to prepare written SOP’s, specifications, work instructions etc, in line with requirements of TGB quality and food safety certification
-
Good interpersonal skills and competencies, with people and groups at all levels of the organisation
-
Good verbal skills and ability to communicate, brief and train effectively individuals and groups
-
Good level of competency on PC based programmes incl. Word, Excel, Access etc.

Possess motivation to learn, build an industry network.
