Reliability Engineer

Salary Range: $60-85,000; + bonus; + relocation assistance

Responsibilities Include:

  • Position reports directly to the Plant Maintenance Manager.
  • Objectives focus is to drive asset optimization practices in conjunction with Maintenance Manager through reliability automation, standardization and simplification practices
  • Partners with Engineering and Operations to facilitate the process of cross-functional problem solving
  • This position is a key interface between Maintenance and Engineering personnel to ensure that resources are focused on increased reliability
  • Coordinates with Engineering to ensure reliability and maintainability principles are integrated into all capital projects
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an Equipment Reliability Program that incorporates root cause analysis, predictive technologies, equipment failure database and maintenance excellence performance
  • Responsible for Reliability cost reduction goals on an annualized basis.
  • Qualifications:
  • Understands problem solving methodology and can facilitate cross-functional teams through complex situations, resulting in root cause failure analysis
  • Can promote equipment maintainability factors that need to be considered at the various stages of capital project implementation
  • Has a broad “systems” perspective on maintainability and reliability
  • Understands maintenance and reliability performance metrics. Utilizes measures that are essential to meet “best in class” maintenance performance objectives
  • Understands the elements of Preventive/Predictive maintenance programs. Experienced in the appropriate application of condition monitoring technologies (infrared thermography, vibration analysis, tribology, motor analysis etc)
  • Understands the impact of design, installation, commissioning and verification phases; the life cycle of a capital project.
  • Understands and can develop ”Best Practices” for maintenance functions and activities. Able to develop and use trend analysis techniques (Pareto, histograms, scatter charts, graphs etc)

Experience Required:  At Least 2 years manufacturing experience, multi-disciplinary engineering experience helpful

Education Required:  BS/MS degree in Engineering or related technical field (Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)
