Summary
-
Develops, manages and implements major capital projects throughout the Company manufacturing network. The primary focus of this position for the first three years - will be related to the building of a new beverage facility in the PA area. We hope to have this position filled by early 2012. Provides direction and leadership directly and through project management to team members. Maintains awareness on new and improved technology and effectively communicates and champions the business case in the implementation of those technologies and projects at Company. Coaches and develops other team members at facilities in the implementation and operation of the assigned capital projects.

Recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in operations, equipment selection and related matters. Manages multiple projects while assuring compliance with approved methods and quality standards. Communicates project status to the organization. Responsible for procurement of all equipment and services in implementing projects. Supports and promotes food safety and quality program indicatives within the plant environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and implement improvements that will drive technical capability and consistency throughout the Company manufacturing network

Manage the planning, design and execution of large technical improvement projects that support safety, product quality, cost reduction, or capacity requirements across the manufacturing network. Provide expert project management in executing capital investments that sometimes exceed $10 million

Provide common objectives with different project managers at different locations under the direction of the Sr. Engineering Manager

Assume leadership of multi-functional project teams

Contribute to and support Company Engineering Standards as a basis for institutionalizing our key technologies and processes

Effectively perform within broad cross-functional teams that develop and execute key strategic business initiatives
