Our client is looking for a R & D Scientist who will be an integral port of a team committed to creating new products and businesses in the tradition of superior quality consumer goods. As a lead R&D Scientist, you assume the role of innovator, project leader, and technical problem-solver as you team with the core R&D group and others in sensory, statistics, packaging, quality, operations, engineering, marketing and consumer insights.
Focusing on development of techniques to enhance quality or improve supply chain costs for thermally processed products, you will become a primary force in identification and discovery of innovation for commercially sterilized products. You will also be a key driver of projects from concept, through development and refinement, to large-scale production and ultimately onto grocer's shelves. (Job Code 1140)
| EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: | 8 + years experience in the food industry in product and process development roles with the majority of experience in thermally processed product development |
| EDUCATION REQUIRED: | BS, MS or PhD in Food Science, Chemistry or related field |
| SALARY RANGE: | $85,000 - $95,000; + 7-1/2% bonus |
