
Responsibilities Include:
Demonstrate and ensure safe work practices
Understand equipment and ingredient variables affecting product attributes, quality, rates, and yields; Technical expert for production line, able to run and troubleshoot equipment, sets process parameters; uses statistical process control concepts to reduce process variation, monitors mass balance data to verify line performance, understands key ingredient attributes and specifications for assigned products, able to adjust process for ingredient variation, ensures equipment is performing to specifications; manages instrument calibration program (ICV)
Responsible for root cause analysis and corrective action for non-compliance, safety or environmental issues related to equipment issues or ingredient characteristics
Monitors equipment uptime, working with maintenance and other plant engineering resources to resolve equipment downtime causes
Maintain an up-to-date assessment of the production line’s capabilities and restrictions
Evaluate and recommend capital projects; Work on capital projects if assigned
Primary contact for technical training on equipment operation
Provide appropriate coverage for a 24/7-production operation including night and weekend coverage as needed

| EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: |
Five or more years of engineering experience in a food processing plant environment |
| EDUCATION REQUIRED: | BS in Engineering, or equivalent degree or experience |
| SALARY RANGE: | $70,000 - $80,000; + 15% Bonus |
