Food Technologist
Our client has an opportunity for a Food Technologist
Responsibilities Include:
Own and drive several key steps in the Product Development Process. Including (but not limited to) prototype development, product formulations, operational definitions, raw material specifications, and technical details for plant trials. Develop bench-top prototypes and assist in the execution of plant trials/product scale-up research leading to the development of new products and line extensions as directed by the BDU team
Maintain all necessary documents on Product Spec Database and Quick Place required by R&D
Drive the new product ideation process by conducting New Product Innovation Sessions
Develop and execute ongoing monitoring systems utilizing sensory analysis methods
Conduct product improvement projects including cost reductions and performance improvements
Develop reconstitution methods and directions for all finished products by testing multiple methods for retail, deli and food service products
Provide work direction to the R&D Technician working in the test kitchen. This includes training on all kitchen equipment operations, testing procedures, monitoring procedures and personal safety
Manage Company test kitchen by maintaining all equipment, ingredients and maintain a safe work environment
Deal directly with customers to resolve product performance issues
Present prototype and/or conceptual new products to customers as needed
Represent Company to the media via cooking shows and public appearances

SALARY RANGE: |
$35,000 to 55,000 |
