Our client has an opportunity for a
Product Quality and Safety Manager
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and manage a product quality and safety programs which will keep the company in compliance with all government regulations and will exceed the expectations of our customers, licensors, consumers and shareholders
Work with Department Leaders to establish quality/safety procedures which will build quality into all we do
Work with the appropriate government agencies and other associations to ensure compliance
FDA – edible product ingredient and nutritional label requirements
CPSC – toy standards and age grade compliance and labeling
AIB – facility audits at Company
Intertec (or others) – facility audits in China
Establish appropriate testing procedures, maintain documentation and ensure timely follow up on all issues
Provide continuous improvement in quality and safety of products
Develop potential quality control programs/processes
Manage the department budget and tracking of cost of product quality and safety programs throughout the organization

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: |
2-5 years in QA, food or product safety, or regulatory compliance |

EDUCATION REQUIRED: |
Bachelor's Degree in food science or equivalent |

SALARY RANGE: |
$70,000 - $80,000 |
